11th Street Bridge Park — New Plans Reveal Skinnier Design
Curbed has reported that Building Bridges Across the River with design team OMA+OLIN have revealed new images of the competition-winning proposal for the 11th Street Bridge Park. The redesign continues to be best described as a pair of "see-sawing planes" forming an elongated triangular with two overlooks. The new plans, however, reveal a substantially smaller design that is both narrower and shorter. Additional changes include the relocation of the environmental education center out of the river's floodplain and a reorientated amphitheater that now faces the river. The "waterfall gardens" also remain.
