Toronto Waterfront — Five Designs Unveiled
For the last two and a half months, five international teams of architects and landscape architects have been preparing designs to replace Toronto's Jack Layton Ferry Terminal and Harbour Square Park, the city's gateway to the Toronto Islands. Today, Waterfront Toronto, the public agency charged with stewarding the city's lakefront, unveils the bold, new design proposals online and at a public forum at Toronto City Hall. The winning team, to be announced later this month, will be charged with preparing a master plan to transform the waterfront destination, and to envision a new future for the dilapidated terminal and park.
